NSW: Police seek witnesses to hit and run
SYDNEY, Aug 27 AAP - Police are seeking witnesses to a hit and run accident in Sydney's
northwest that has left a teenage girl in hospital.
A 16-year-old girl was thrown 17 metres on impact when she was hit by a car on the
Pacific Highway at Gore Hill about 9pm yesterday, police said.
The car failed to stop and continued driving south along the highway.
The girl was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where she is in a satisfactory condition,
a police spokeswoman said.
Witnesses told police the car could have been a 1984 silver Toyota Celica.
Other witnesses are being urged to contact police.
